Little recognition in the art world is given to glass workers, particularly when it comes to magazines. So, what better way to start this edition than by exploring the works of the incredibly promising, young, up-and-coming contemporary glass artist, Bethan Yates.
If you read our third edition, The Storytellers, then you might remember that we met Bethan in FLOW, a glass works exhibition which was hosted in Cardiff's Craft Studio.
Graduating with a First degree in glass work from the Swansea College of Art, Bethan has since appeared in numerous exhibitions and has crafted a variety of works for commissions. She has also won a good deal of awards; one of the most prestigious of which was the Richard Seager Annual Arts Award, which resulted in her piece being installed at the London Coliseum, home to the English National Opera.
